Workers Registration Scheme

If you are a national from one of the Accession States and you wish to work for an employer in the UK for more than one month, you will normally have to register under the Workers Registration Scheme.

If you hold a Latvian alien passport you will not have the right to work in the UK under the Workers Registration Scheme, and must apply for permission to enter the UK before entering.
Upon completion of 12 months work with no more than 30 days break, you will no longer be required to register on the Workers Registration Scheme. If you wish, you will then be eligible to obtain a Registration Certificate confirming you right to live and work in the UK, however; you are not obliged to do so.
