Points Based System Tier 5 | Introduction

Tier 5 of the points based system is aimed at allowing two different types of entry into the UK on a temporary basis. Tier 5 includes the New Youth Mobility Scheme and all other temporary employment opportunities.

The areas of which Tier 5 cover include:-
  • Tier 5 - Creative and Sporting Workers
  • Tier 5 - Religious Worker
  • Tier 5 - Government Authorised Exchange
  • Tier 5 - International Agreement
  • Tier 5 - Youth Mobility Scheme

You should note that this system will not apply to temporary immigration status such as a UK visit visa, due to the short term nature of a UK visitor visas for tourists and the restrictions they place upon employment will continue to operate separately to the Points Based System.
